SO, sorry i've been MIA for awhile,
but YAY for over 700 facebook shares!
You guys are awesome :D
Anyways, just a quick little post on a twist of one of my favorite
breakfasts? snacks? desserts?
We'll go with calling it a dessert for now ;)
I'm calling it the 30 second dessert-- cos, that's literally how long it took me to make :D
The photos are pretty self explanatory, and i'm sure you can do it with any cereal (and any type of ice cream), but frosted flakes have been my favorite for 22 years :D
It's the only way i really like ice cream!
Make 'em bite size so they're easy to eat, and coat them well so they are easy to be pick up!

Shish kabob SANDWICH!
Simple, easy, aweeesome fun way to get your kiddo to love lunch time :)
What you'll need-- sandwich makings, and a skewer!
We bought 'mini bread' [wheat and french], cheddar cheese, cherry tomatoes and deli turkey.
We also trimmed our 12" skewer down by about 4-5 inches.
Next, Carter just started layering things on, using the tomato as a 'base'.
Viola! All done! He dipped it in ranch and loved it :D

Chocolate dipped fruit...with BUTTERFINGERS!?
Ah, yes :)
So first off, we can not take credit for this awesome, mouth-watering idea.
We were actually sent the photo by another awesome mama & after seeing it..just had to do...and after doing it..just had to share it :)
To see where we got it from and check out other awesome recipes, visit Gingerbread Bagels :)
Mk, here we go!
Okay, what you'll need: Strawberries, butterfingers, chocolate chips, and...we added a banana :)
Melt your chocolate chips in the microwave or on the stove, and while that's going, crush up your butterfingers.
Gingerbread Bagels used a food processor...we don't have one...so i used a hammer 8)
Okay, everything's ready.
Next, dip your fruit in the chocolate, and then roll it in the crushed butterfinger.
I used toothpicks.
Mmmm..good. let it set [you can put it in the fridge to speed up the process]
All done!
Here's the banana
Annnd the strawberries!
So. good.

Meet Mr. & Mrs. Caramel apple.
Caramel apples, but..cooler? ;)
What you'll need: Apples, popsicle sticks or chop sticks. Candy for a "face", caramel soft candies, and milk.
Cut the stem off, and stick the stick in :)
We didn't use exact measurments for the caramel,
but it came to be about 20+ of the soft caramel candies, and 4 tbs of milk.
This only covered 2 apples. Melt the caramel & milk in the microwave for about 2 1/2 minutes.
For our faces we used mint rings for eyes, raisinets for nose, and twizzlers for the mouths :)
All done! :D

Mini CHEESECAKE biscuits!
Thanks to Miranda for the idea of the cheesecake,
and thanks to my randomly stocked fridge in need of cleaning for making 'em outta biscuits :D
What you'll need:
Premade biscuit dough, cream cheese, chocolate fudge [optional], powder sugar & vanilla extract.
Soften the cream cheese a bit, and dd the vanilla/sugar just til you like the taste :) [i didn't use exact measurments or anything]
Taking your biscuits, grease your pan, then press them in,
making kind of a 'bowl' shape, by pressing it against the edges of your cupcake pan.
Now fill them with your 'cheesecake' mixture.
[ignore the plain chocolate chip ones :P]
Bake as the biscuit can directs, and add that bit of chocolate if you'd like once they are done :)
And there ya have it!
ENJOY!
Dont forget to send in your photos of things you've made off of our blog :)
Just updated YOUR photos yesterday!

Fried powdered sugar treats!
Ok, so really...donut holes, but we just did another kinda donuts recently, i had to switch the names up a little :P
What you'll need: Premade biscuit dough, powdered sugar, vegetable oil, and hot fudge :)
Tear the dough into smaller peices [per large biscuit i made 6] and roll into small balls.
Boil your oil. Baracade the kids outta the kitchen.
Set the dough into the pot *carefully* and fry just til it's golden brown.
Set on a paper towel so the excess oil drains off.
You can use a container with a lid or a zip lock baggie, *kid friendly*
Shake them in the powder while still hot, but once the oil has drained into the paper towel.
Add hot fudge for dipping [cos it's not sweet enough yet, right? ;)]
There ya have it!
These were actually Carter-approved :)
*NOTE: serve immediately. if left out too long, the powder sugar with...'goo-ify' cos of any excess oil.
ENJOY!

GUITAR POPS!
So, this little post is gonna feature an awesome thing we picked up in Seattle yesterday.
You can get your owwwwn, here!! :)
It's really an ice cube tray- but we decided to make popsicles instead :)
-What you'll need: Your nifty new ice tray :)
And juice of your choice, we picked Sobe orange cream and pina colada.
[We aren't juice drinkers in this house, so the decision was a bit hard]
-Obviously, you then fill the tray, freeze [hopefully in a freezer less scary looking than my own] and whip out later, or , the next day, like we did. [why am i explaining this process to you???]
The finished product :)
Please excuse his hair :D These popsicles were enjoyed at the crack of dawn.

CAKE BATTER rice crispy treats!
So, usually we like to do all original baking ideas,
but...seeing this featured on a youtube video, we had to do it.
Cos, yes, we love cake batter...and, we love rice crispy treats.
How could this go wrong?
What you'll need/melt up the butter [3 tlbs] with the marshmallows [10 oz of minis]
Oh shoot.
my photos are out of order :(
Okay, you need to switch the steps a bit, just, the first photo, is actually the last :D
You add about 1/4 cup prepared cake powder, and add in some rainbow sprinkles
Then stir in the 6 cups of Rice Crispy cereal.
This next part is optional, but, you should probably do it ;)
Add more sprinkles to the top, just for some more color,
then melt your milk chocolate chips and drizzle it on top.
Let it set, and VIOLA! you're done!
To be honest, we couldn't really taste the 'cake' part [ohhh so THAT'S how it could go wrong], so maybe add a bit more than what we did from the way we saw it done :D
but either way- how could you go wrong with rice crispy treats!!
